Make sure your device connected to the same WiFi network as your sensor.

The app will only show devices that are on the same WiFi network as the sensor. Double-check that the WiFi network names match on both your sensor and device.

Do you have different names for your 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi networks?

At this time, we can’t support different names for 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi networks on a single sensor. If you are unable to give the same name for both bandwidths, we recommend connecting your sensor to the WiFi network that most devices, particularly phones, connect to.

The device may not be providing enough information about itself.

It takes a couple of days from when you first set up your sensor for it to learn about each device on the WiFi network. In this initial learning stage, your device could be present in your device list; however, there may be very little metadata to help you identify it, especially if the sensor has detected multiple devices with the same generic names.

Tips:

Does your device have Private Address enabled?

When there are duplicates of the same device, this is typically due to the Private Address feature being enabled on that device. (read more: What is Private Address or Randomized Mac Address?)
